Jakarta – Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that until May 2024 the budget realization for the construction of the National Capital City (IKN) amounted to Rp5.5 trillion.
The amount of the IKN budget is 13.7 percent of the 2024 State Budget (APBN) ceiling of Rp40 trillion.
“For IKN spending, if we look at this year, Rp5.5 trillion has been spent until May 2024 from this year’s ceiling which is quite significant at Rp40 trillion,” Sri Mulyani said in APBN KiTa, Thursday, June 27, 2024.

The Minister of Finance detailed that of the Rp5.5 trillion budget, IDR3.4 trillion was realized for the infrastructure cluster from the ceiling of IDR36.7 trillion.
This budget is used for construction in the state palace area, the Kemenko area and other ministries, and the OIKN building.
Then, the construction of ASN and hankam towers, ministerial site houses, IKN hospitals, construction of IKN toll roads, IKN roads and bridges, and VVIP Airports, as well as structuring and improving the Sepaku Semoi Dam area, KIPP reservoirs, and IKN flood control.
Then, the realization was also used for the non-infrastructure cluster amounting to Rp2 trillion from the ceiling of Rp3.3 trillion. The realization included planning, coordination, and preparation of the transfer.
Furthermore, reports and policy recommendations on K/L, mapping, monitoring and evaluation activities, POLRI security support, and OΙΚΝ operations.
As for the total IKN budget allocation from 2022 to 2024 amounting to IDR 72.5 trillion. In detail, the realization in 2022 was IDR 5.5 trillion, 2023 was IDR 27 trillion, and 2024 was IDR 40 trillion.
“If we look at 2022, 2023 and 2024, the budget allocation that has been placed in the APBN reaches Rp72.5 trillion. Spending for three years until we expect IKN to be used on August 17,” she said. (*)
