Jakarta – Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati opened her voice about the alleged leak of Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) data belonging to a number of Indonesian officials, including her own data.
The data includes those belonging to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), vice president-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Kaesang Pangarep, to SOE Minister Erick Thohir.
Sri Mulyani also said that she had ordered Director General (Dirjen) of Taxes Suryo Utomo to conduct an evaluation. Even so, an explanation regarding the alleged data leak will be further conveyed by the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT).

“I have asked the Director General of Taxes and all parties in the Ministry of Finance to evaluate the problem. Later, the explanation will be submitted by the Director General of Taxes and the IT team,” said Sri Mulyani at the DPR RI Complex, Thursday, September 19, 2024.
On the same occasion, Suryo admitted that he would conduct further checks regarding the leak of the NPWP data of a number of state officials. However, he was reluctant to comment further.
“I’ll check it first,” Suryo said briefly.
For information, this news emerged from a tweet by the founder of Ethical Hacker Indonesia, Teguh Aprianto on his X account. He revealed the sale of millions of NPWP data on illegal forums. The leaked data includes NIK, NPWP, address, cellphone number, email and others.

“A total of 6 million NPWP data was traded for around Rp. 150 million. Leaked data includes NIK, NPWP, address, cellphone number, email and others,” he tweeted via X @secgron.
Teguh mentioned some of the leaked NPWP data including those belonging to President Jokowi, Gibran, Kaesang, Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan and other officials.
“NPWPs belonging to Jokowi, Gibran, Kaesang, Menkominfo, Sri Mulyani and other ministers were also leaked in the sample provided by the perpetrator,” he wrote. (*)
