Jakarta – The Financial Services Authority (OJK) recorded that financing to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the Financing Institutions, Venture Capital Companies, Microfinance Institutions, and Other Financial Services Institutions (PVML) sector reached Rp272 trillion as of June 2025.

To strengthen financing support for SMEs, the OJK held a flagship event in the PVML sector titled the National Forum of Financing Services and Microfinance 2025, with the theme “Contribution of Financing Services and Microfinance Institutions to the National Economy,” on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

Agusman, the Executive Director of PVML Supervision at the OJK, stated that the forum is expected to serve as a platform for exchanging ideas, concrete steps, and impactful solutions for SME financing and national economic growth.

“This forum aims to strengthen public understanding of the important role and contribution of the PVML sector in supporting government programs and promoting inclusive and sustainable national economic growth,” said Agusman in his opening remarks in Jakarta on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

Furthermore, he explained that the financing sector and Microfinance Institutions play a strategic role in supporting national economic transformation, including through financing for productive sectors and SME actors.
